Last Sunday (April 24, 2016), I ventured over the Ohio River to New Albany, IN with my trusty Holga 120 PC in hand, loaded with Ilford HP5 black and white film in order to participate in this year’s Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.  You can see the results for yourself below.

A movie taken last year when people were allowed to walk on the new Abraham Lincoln Bridge in Louisville, Kentucky for its opening. This was shot using my Lomokino camera, which is a hand-cranked movie camera that captures images on 35mm film.  For this particular film, when I imported the images into iMovie 10, I used a 0.2 sec clip duration (this last note is partly for my own future reference, since the 0.1 second recommendation on the Lomography site didn’t seem quite right for this movie at least.) 🙂

Last Sunday (April 26) was World Pinhole Camera Day, so I did my bit, loaded my Holga 120 PC with Fujifilm Pro 400H and took some shots around the city.  It’s always a little hit-and-miss with pinhole photography, but fortunately most shots turned out!

After leaving Prince Edward Island, we headed to Campobello Island, which required two car ferry crossings.  The first one took us from St George in New Brunswick to Deer Island.  And after exploring Deer Island for a bit, we caught another ferry to take us to Campobello Island, where we spent two nights.  It was a great place to end up the vacation.  Photos taken with a Recesky (plastic) TLR camera and using Kodak Gold 200 35mm film

Sigh — Time To Head Home Again

Our last night on Prince Edward Island was spent in the delightful village of Victoria-By-The-Sea.  That night we ate a fish dinner at restaurant that was located on the wharf — you can’t get an fresher than that!  All the photos below were taken using a Recesky (plastic) TLR camera and Kodak Gold 200 film.

Georgetown was our stop for afternoon team en route to Souris on the Points East Coastal Drive.  And if you happen to be there yourselves and a looking for coffee and a tasty treat, we highly recommend the Maroon Pig Art Gallery and Sweet shop.  You won’t be disappointed!
